These Are The Droids You're Looking For

I was navigating the galaxy of the inter webs the other day and stumbled across these intergalactic hand-painted Toms! Beep Boop Bop! Totes loaf them. And don't worry Admiral A., this is no trap. They are custom made for your awesomeness pleasure. Then I decided to peruse the Internets some more and found other Star Wars shoes. Some custom made from the outer rim, others released by shoe with lord, Adidas. Do any strike your fantasy fancy?

Cabin

Went to the cabin for the week to write and for the holiday weekend. It was super amazingly keen. The girlfriend, Emily, and the lil' pups joined me for the last few days and we had the best little vacation ever. I chopped wood, caught fish, worked on the beach. We caught turtles and moths and skinks, drank vodka sodas, went for walks, and even discovered a lil shack out in the middle of nowhere (seemed a bit frightening at first) that sold rocks and agates. We bought some from the grump. I was sad to come back to the city, but happy that we have a lake here as well. Most of these totes awesome pictures are by Emily and her snazzy iPhone. What a gal. Hope your weekend was kewl, too!

Otters and Cigarettes

Great green jellybeans, hello all friends! How are you doing? I'm doing more swell than a bee in a mountain dew can. We've had stellar weather around here lately, so have been spending a lot of time outside and running and gazing admiringly at the sunny cheerfulness of all the lake goers. Went home to Farmtown, USA for Easter and my bubbly nerd of a girlfriend Emily took some nice pictures. See below and check out her own lil' tasty blog for more photastic phun. Also, check out two great videos below. One is a video from the anti-smoking companies. The other is about the importance of immersing your baby otter while it's still young, otherwise it'll become a cranky-B. Also, look forward to my collection of short stories getting released realz soon. Hey. I love you all.

3 Month Goals!

Hey all. It's been awhile. I know. I apologize. It's been a bit crazy but now that spring has sprung and the weather is turning fine, I'll be posting more. It's been a long winter and I haven't been working out. AT ALL. Boo. And I've been eating crappy. So as I start running again, I've set 5 goals that are important to me and I'm totes cited to complete them. From April 1st - July 1st, this is what I'd like to accomplish:

  1. Run 500 miles.
  2. Swim across the lake (roughly 1 mile) without a floatation device.
  3. Compete in at least three 5k's and 1 half marathon.
  4. Finish the Starseer Book 1 novel, edit it, and release it.
  5. Make significant progress on The Living novel.
So, as you can tell, fitness and writing are what I'm totes pumped about and I've really been slacking these last few months. But no more! I'll checkin with my progress and let you know how's it going.

And I'd love to hear some of your short-term goals! Nothing like inspiring each other to get up and move!

Love you all, my bloggy frogs!

Up, up and away,

Jordan

Lucy Rose Is Da Bomb(bay Bicycle Club)

Me Monday
Bonjour, all. Hope your weekend was as gravy as Thanksgiving Dinner. After a super keen day of running, breakfast foods, writing stories, puppy play dates, and yum yum din din, the gal pal and I ventured forth to go see her new favy band Bombay Bicycle Club. Getting there just after doors opened we discovered the cutest lil' gal playing an amazingly laid back acoustic show. After quiet applauses I was able to catch hints of humble greetings through her beautifully delightful british accent and that her name was Lucy Rose. I kina wanted her to read me a children's book on tape. I totes bought her album on iTunes and so shall you! Link, away!

After her too short of a set was over, we heard the likes of The Darcys (aka strange out-of-tune lead singer who appeared to be a malfunctioning zombie robot and a bassist who I'm fairly certain had just committed a murder). They were not too shabby, crabby. But, Bombay Bicycle Club was pretty kewl. We were treated to more Lucy Rose, as she provided background vocals and upbeat woodblock beats for a handful of BBC's songs. Hooray. The only Bombay song I had heard before the show was their newest single "Shuffle" that is played daily on 89.3 The Current. Of course they played it encore style, but everything leading up to that was just as good as eggs on toast. And I love eggs on toast.

BBC was keen and I fully recommend you check out their music. Only after listening to Lucy Rose first, of course. Monday, away!

Riding the Cloud

Me Monday
Good Monday, my friends! Check out what I've just discovered on Inhabitat.com! Tiago Barros has designed a... plane? blimp? We'll just call it a... cloud! Barros has designed a cloud that will wisp its passengers away on a skyline serenade with other (actual) clouds and bluebird skies. Constructed out of stainless steel and tensile nylon fabric, it would apparently be very durable and have a great green footprint! There'd be no schedule, destination, or speed to adhere to. You'd just board and go with the wind... until you set gently down on top of the Empire State building...

Though it probably will never actually be made and fly the pristine airways, still a very awesome idea. If it was created and deemed safe, would you ride on it? I wonder if they'd hand out clumps of helium balloons to serve as parachutes. Love you all!
